The Heart Folk is a local family run offering. Ryan, Sarah, children Kai & Indi (and their pup Gypsy)
together Kya, Renae & Courtney, who currently complete's The Heart Folk Team.

Ryan — Our offerings are lead by our co-founder Ryan, a qualified teacher specialising in character development, outdoor education, conservation ecology, geography, nature therapy & holistic health. A homeschooling father himself who nurtures with a gentle parenting approach. Ryan is a registered teacher, meeting appropriate requirements as well as holding Blue Card equivalent, First Aid & CPR. He has extensive experience in leading nature based adventure experiences, recreation, outdoor therapy & education, tourism, forest and coastal conservation & marine scientific expeditions.

Sarah — Our co-founder, full time homeschooling mother, alongside running the background of our offerings (from website, communications, events, social media content & bookings). Sarah co-leads offerings including Womens & Family Nature Gatherings. She is a creative & holds a great heart capacity for the beautiful families that form our community, including our own. Sarah has experience in writing, events, marketing; creative content development & communications. She holds a current First Aid & CPR and Blue Card.

Kya — Our support mentor & facilitator of our offerings, specialising in Australian plants as medicine & foraging, who has great capacity to nurture children with a gentle, playful & loving nature. She has a passion for permaculture, sustainable living, self sourced food, handicrafts & childhood. Kya holds a current First Aid & Blue Card.

Liv  — Our lead mentor & facilitator of Nurture Class, with over six years of experience in early childhood education through childcare & the disability sector. Liv has had an incredible journey developing mindfulness, movement, and breath-work into childhood. She holds a passion for enriching children's growth with tools that set them up for a lifetime of well-being. Liv holds the belief that learning comes hand in hand with play, and is dedicated to creating a safe, secure, and joyful environment where children can truly thrive. As well as the approach that patience is not just a virtue; it's the key to fostering meaningful connections and nurturing the unique potential within each child. Liv is a qualified early childhood educator, holds a current First Aid, CPR & Blue Card.

Isa — Our support mentor joining our team in Term 2, with rich experience in Outdoor Education & a passion of 'learning through nature'. Holding a Cert 3 in outdoor leadership working with children; Isa offers a range of skills in adventure activities & risk/safety management. Including hiking, kayaking, high ropes, water based activities, team challenges, indigenous games, orienteering, and is also well travelled with heart to develop children in a holistic way through these shared experiences.

Lily —Our support mentor (away for Term 2), with meaningful experience working and caring for children for the past 10 years. Lily has a passion for creativity & recently held children's nature inspired creative offerings and is a nanny for family's here on the coast. Creativity & nature is always at the centre of her heart when working with children. Lily creates a nurtured, loving space to for child and holds a great capacity to support their social & emotional intelligence development.
